Du Lab

Welcome to our RNA and ESC world!

About us

The Peng Du Laboratory, affiliated to School of Life Sciences of Peking University and Center for Life Sciences (CLS), focusses on RNA regulation, stem cells and tumor biology.

Our mission is primarily dedicated to analyze and identify unknown RNA regulatory pathways, and to study the related RNA regulatory pathways in embryonic stem cell fate decisions and early embryonic development. At the same time, we also aim to reconstruct RNA regulatory pathways of plants or microorganisms in animal cells, and to investigate its application in translational medicine.

New research: mTBLCs model embryogenesis from zygotic genome activation to post implantation

Posted On 2025/01/17

We model early embryonic development using mouse totipotent blastomere-like cells (mTBLCs). This system captures key events such as cell fate determination, compaction, and polarization. Single mTBLCs efficiently form blastoids and develop into post-implantation egg cylinder-like structures in vitro and in vivo. This research is published on Cell Stem Cell.
